My dandelions are a bit like the real thing, they seem to take over and spread everywhere!
So here is my latest rendition of blue dandelions. Who knows maybe there will be pink ones in the future! Watch this space :).

Dandelions and little bird canvases
I'm very much an amateur painter but I do have fun as I go along. So dandelions are everywhere on my canvases at the moment and I've really enjoyed experimenting along with a couple of little birds having a 'chat' on a branch.
This one is a very large canvas and fills the wall nicely.
The lovely thing about painting is that you never know how it will turn out and I'm as surprised as everyone else by the end result.
Hope you like them.
CROSS STITCH HUMMING BIRD CUSHION
One of my newest 'makes' has been this cross stitch cushion with a frilly edging. A long time in the making as it's all hand sewn on a cotton fabric with normal cushion filling. The cover is not
removable though.

REPURPOSED CANVAS
This canvas was once a different picture altogether which I didn't like at all so thought I would experiment to see if it could be altered and ta-da it worked!
Having given it a base coat of several layers and then some texture with chalk paint I decided I love the blow away seed head look so gave it a try and here we have it. It looks best against a slightly darker wall as it is a very soft coloured painting but still very effective.
It will be up for sale shortly.
I'm now looking for another canvas I don't like so I can have another go with maybe some birds? Who knows !

Little Brooches
I had seen some lovely little brooches on Pinterest and thought I would have a go
at making some myself.
I like the fact that no two are ever the same as you can use any tiny pieces of material to bring variety.

SHABBY CLOCK
My latest attempt has been to make clocks and this is the first one.
The outer rim is painted in Laura Ashley chalk paint
with a French Vintage Roses image for the centre.
Tomorrow, Saturday 8th April, I'm doing a Moondust Display at the local Methodist Church in Forest Road in Annesley Woodhouse, NG17 9JB.
If anyone would like to come along and say hello I'd be thrilled to bits to see you and
show you all the things I've been making.
HAND PAINTED BAG
I love making drawstring bags out of any material I can find.
This one is made out of bridal satin and when I'd finished I had the inspiration to hand paint some little flowers on it.
I'd encourage anyone to give it a go as I used water colours neat from the tube which gave quite a density to the colour.
Why not try it on a spare piece of any cloth and see what you come up with. You might be as surprised as I was!

Birdie Cushions!
LITTLE BIRD CUSHIONS
All for sale, but collection only. :)
Who can resist little birds when they bring a smile whenever you come in the room?
This first one has a ditsy rose backing and outer edge . The back view is shown in next photo.
They just make me smile :)
Left hand cushion shows back view of cushion above and the right hand cushion has tiny beads sewn on and the bird appears on both sides of the cushion. |
Again the bird appears on both sides of the cushion but this time with a ditsy rose edging. |
All for sale, but collection only. :)
Decoupage Jug
DECOUPAGE METAL JUG
I decided to transform this metal green jug into something more inviting.
So after several layers of chalk paint and
decoupaging beautiful pink roses here and there,
we now have a very pretty jug which would
look lovely almost anywhere.
The inside can't hold liquid but if you place a jam jar inside for water it will hold a lovely bouquet of flowers and be a very original piece.
It is for sale if anyone would like it at £14.50.
